PANAY, Capiz — Sixty-three jobless and poor residents from various barangays here have completed the basic and shielded metal arc welding courses under the Mobile Technology School (MTS).
A graduation ceremony was held for the said Panaynons on Tuesday at the house of Provincial Board member Jonathan “Sonny” Besa in Brgy. Poblacion Ilaya here.
The MTS was Besa’s brainchild project, which aimed to alleviate the plight of the poor here.
Those who completed the shielded metal arc welding course were Regie Abener, Abelardo Agres, Errol Agres, Reneboy Albaran, Joey Anoche, Genmark Baco, Sunny Baing, Vicente Baleriado, Oliver Balgos, Sunny Bansale, Ramy Baral;
Tommy Barrera, Daniel Bechayda, Mario Bechayda, PJ Bechayda, Crisanto Bermejo, Joaquin Bernas, Dionito Besana, Aljon Bismanos, Dexter Bismanos, Erwin Bitoon, Richard Buenavides, Rowel Buenavides, James Buenvinida, Jhonny Bulaquiña, Rey Bullas;
Jayfee Castillo, Merlito Candelaria, Jenner Cosca, Mark Dadivas, Royde Doloso, Bernard Gamboa, Kenn Arjune Leal, Allan Joseph Lisao, Jemar Lisao, Erwin Lorenzana, Glenn Madahan, Jeffrey Palma, Melvin Raymundo, Micheal Subang, Jonel Ubal, Mark Villorente and Maryvic Sescar.
Those who finished the basic arc welding course included Junrich Borbon, Reggie Basas, Leomar Batacandolo, Ever Bernas, Luige Bernas, Rommel Berrey, Jimmy Billones, Julius Billones, Jerry Bonita, Stephen Buenavenida;
Jose Buenavides, Cyril Bulaquiña, Lope Burata, Kriser Arthon Burriel, Mark Anthony Casalmer, Kim Gabriel, Gerel Japsay, Ryan Laveña, Sander Pagayon, Junel Sinoy and Ezra Mae Relano.
Oliver Balgos, Dionito Besana, Merlito Candelaria, Allan Joseph Lisao and Jonel Ubal were declared outstanding trainees and graduates.
Among those who witnessed the graduation ceremony were Gov. Victor Tanco, Vice Gov. Esteban Evan Contreras, Sangguniang Bayan of Panay member Graciano “Jojo” Balderama and some town officials, Dr. Editha Alfon of Capiz State University, Joselito de la Banda of Department of Labor and Employment, Technical Education and Skills Development Authority Provincial Officer Victor Gallego and some Department of Education officials.
