10 hospitals get computers

ROXAS City – Ten hospitals in Capiz are recipients of a computer set each from World Health Organization (WHO) and the Provincial Government.

The computer sets were turned over at the Provincial Health Office (PHO) conference room in Arnaldo Boulevard, here, July 30.

Respective chief of hospitals or their representatives received the computer, and signed the memorandum of understanding with the donors.

The computers will be used in the Disease Reporting Unit of the following beneficiary-hospitals: Bailan District Hospital, Tapaz District Hospital, Mambusao District Hospital, Sen. Gerardo Roxas Memorial Hospital, Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital, Capiz Emmanuel Hospital, Capiz Doctors Hospital, St. Anthony College Hospital, The Health Centrum Hospital and Camp Peralta Station Hospital.

Department of Health-6 Assistant Director Dr. Ma. Paz Corales said “these computers must be use properly that will help enhance the programs relating to effective health services for our people.

The distribution of computer sets was an incentive of “Project Haiyan” of the Japan Grant through the DOH “Surveillance in Post Extreme Emergencies and Disaster (SPEED) reporting” of the different public and private hospitals in the province of Capiz during the devastation of typhoon Yolanda.
