The sundown Parade of Lights (Parada sang Kasanag) on April 15,2012, highlight of CAPIZtahan 2012, could possibly be the only of its kind in the country, according to Bryan Mari Argos, Roxas City’s OIC tourism officer and in charge of the said activity. Some 20 floats depicting flowers and marine species will be featured in a parade that would start from the Roxas City plaza and would culminate at the People’s Park in Baybay beach. A program at the Park enlivened by band and guests from Manila are expected to entertain the crowd, who would show up either to have clean fun or to savor the province’s seafood products offered by various stalls lining the beach’s shoreline.

Six new floats, out of the 20, will be featured in this year’s Parade of Lights. Three of these are being done in Roxas City while the three floats will come from the Araneta Center, Argos said. Argos said the three-dimensional floats adorned with tiny Christmas lights are a sight to behold. Their making requires special skills, skills which seemed to have already been perfected by some locals, added Argos.(Publicity and Promotions Committee, CAPIZtahan 2012)
