CAPIZtahan 2012 is a festive gathering of Capizeños to commemorate the 111th Founding Anniversary of the Civil Government of Capiz and the 64th Death Anniversary of the late President Manuel Acuña Roxas.
One hundred eleven years ago, a community blessed with the bounties of nature and the home of hardworking and enthusiastic stewards of God’s creation, was established – the Province of Capiz. Since then, the province inculcated among its people the values of unity, perseverance, hope, goodwill and camaraderie, which make Capiz and Capizeños truly Captivating.
This year’s CAPIZtahan is an opportune time for us to showcase our rich culture and tradition which shaped our distinct identity as Capizeños. This is also the time to honor the late Manuel Acuña Roxas, the pride of the province who bequeathed the legacy that every Capizeño is a key player in the province’s quest for societal change.
May the CAPIZtahan further fortify the partnership of the public and private sectors and promote transparency and integrity in public service. Let the spirit of solidarity push Capizeños to collectively give pride and honor to Capiz and bring back all the glory to God Almighty, consistent with the vision of ONE CAPIZ.
Welcome to CAPIZtahan 2012!
Dali sa Capiz!
(SGD) HON. VICTOR A. TANCO
Governor, Province of Capiz
