Capiz villages receive multicab units

ROXAS CITY, Capiz, April 16 (PIA) -- Ninety-two units of multicab vehicles were turned over by the Capiz provincial government to various barangays in the province during a blessing and turn-over ceremony on April 12 at the Villareal Stadium here.


Eight from the total number of multi-cabs were turned over by the Office of Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) Provincial Federation to some SK municipal presidents and chairmen province-wide.

Capiz Gov. Victor A. Tanco, Sr. and SK – Capiz Federation President Zoe Maria Felipe “Migo” Herrera led the turn-over ceremony that was also graced by Capiz matriarch Judy A. Roxas and some provincial and municipal officials.


The vehicles were funded by the Priority Development Assistance Fund of then Sen. Mar Roxas,” said Zoe G. Herrera, Secretary of the Capiz Sangguniang Panlalawigan, who gave a brief background on the project during the program.

Let us use this vehicle for official purposes only especially in providing mobility to our respective residents during calamities,” Tanco stressed.

The blessing and turnover ceremonies were followed by the motorcade of the multicab units from the Villareal Stadium to the 10 towns of the province’s second congressional district. (JSC/AAL-PIA 6 Capiz)
