"This is going to be a global institution to cater foreign visitors who get sick here," Ona said during the blessing and inauguration of Health Centrum, and lauded the Balgos family for establishing the Health Centrum in this city.
Meanwhile, Capiz Governor Victor Tanco Sr. also lauded the support of private institutions for the realization of the project.
"I admit, that we in the government cannot do (the project) alone for a better health care without the private and public partnership. With the Health Centrum, I'm no longer afraid to get sick in Capiz," Tanco said.
Dr. Abundio Balgos, one of the owners of hospital, said the Health Centrum will have specialist doctors from Manila.
The P450-million project is about to be completed to serve clients from Northern Panay and as well as those from the island provinces of Masbate and Romblon.
Balgos, said the facility will offer affordable but world-class health care.
The blessing and inauguration was also attended by Judy Araneta-Roxas, Vice Gov. Esteban Contreras and mayors from the different municipalites of Capiz. (Joel E. Capundan, The News Today 4/18/2012)
