ROXAS City — The Provincial Development Council (PDC) has approved Capiz’s P18-million Annual Investment Plan (AIP) for this year.
The total amount, P18,104,997,059.10, has been subdivided into four areas: general public services, P965.5 million; social services, P11.96 billion; economic services, P5.99 billion; and other services, P109 million.
Gov. Victor A. Tanco said the total budget was taken from accumulated local funds (some P1 billion) and external sources, including allocations from different national government agencies (some P17 billion).
“The province’s AIP for 2015 is believed to be enough to uplift the economic situation of the people and to ensure better social services from the government,” said Tanco.
Tanco, PDC chair, presided the council meeting on Jan. 13 at the Governor’s Hall of the Capiz Provincial Capitol. Chief executives or their representatives from 16 municipalities were present./PN
