ROXAS City – The Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office (PTCAO) will stage the 2nd Street Food Festival on July 15 at the city plaza in celebration of the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) Week.
PTCAO head Alphonsus Tesoro said the festival will feature popular Capiznon foods prepared by vendors trained on food tourism and food safety by the Department of Tourism.
“We encourage the food vendors to develop and showcase seafood-based street food during the festival,” Tesoro said.
Tesoro said street food is PTCAO’s latest innovation to promote Capiz to tourists.
The vendors were trained on hygiene, kitchen safety and sanitation, plating and food presentation to provide quality food and services to tourists and locals. (Alex A. Lumaque/PIA Capiz)
