Capiz gets UNFPA ambulance

Roxas City – The Provincial Government of Capiz received one ambulance from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) which was turned over in a ceremony held last Feb. 4, 2014 at the Capitol Grounds here.

UNFPA representatives Hector Follosco and Parvinder Singhnanda led the turnover of the Reproductive Health Ambulance to Governor Victor Tanco Sr. and other officials.

Tanco thanked the UNFPA for the ambulance as well as for the other assistance it extended to the province after super typhoon Yolanda.

This ambulance will be use by the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital in helping sick Capizeños most especially pregnant women,” Follosco said.

The UNFPA ambulance is equipped with an Aneroid Sphygmomanometer, 1 box dissecting set, a double-head Stethoscope, 1 set first aid kit, a heavy-duty flashlight and 1 set of Resuscitator Kit.

Also present in the occasion are Provincial Administrator and Chief Legal Counsel Atty. Jose O. Villanueva, Provincial Health Officer Dr. Samuel C. Delfin and Dr. Florencio Luching, OIC-RMPH. (CPPB/Monette A. Bernas/The Daily Guardian)
