ROXAS City – Capiz placed third in the recent search for the Best Local Government Unit (LGU) Tourism Oriented-Province in the Philippines.
The search was initiated by the Association of Tourism Officers of the Philippines (ATOP) that held its 13th national convention in Zamboanga del Norte.
Capiz also received special citations for the celebration of the 2011 Dungog sang mga Tumandok nga Pamatan-on, an award from the Diliman Preparatory School.
The said awards were received by Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Officer Alphonsus Tesoro.
