There will be two tours — “Lagaw Capiz,” a familiarization tour in select sites in the province, and “Lagaw Handuraw,” a heritage walk to various cultural spots in this capital city.
The Capiz Provincial Press Bureau, in association with the Provincial Tourism and Cultural Affairs Office, will put up a photo exhibit dubbed “Pasiplat: A Glimpse of Capiz Culture and Events.”
The exhibit will be at the ground floor of the Capiz Provincial Capitol on September 25–27 and at the Dinggoy Roxas Civic Center on September 28–30.
Also one of the highlights of the week-long celebration will be the Tourism Expo at the Dinggoy Roxas Civic Center on September 27–29.
Other activities include the 1st Western Visayas Teachers and Students Tourism and Hospitality Convention, cultural performances, fashion shows and various competitions.
Department of Tourism 6 (DOT-6) officer-in-charge Helen Catalbas, Tourism Operation Officer II Rene Corum of DOT-6, Western Visayas Tourism Council president Juan Orola Jr., and local government officials, are expected to grace the events.
The celebration ends on September 30.
