ROXAS CITY – The provincial government of Capiz is contending for the Regional Gawad Pamana ng Lahi 2012 award after it has been included in the Top 3 local government units with excellent performance.
Provincial Director Helen Mestidio of the Department of Interior and Local Government said Capiz garnered high ratings in social and economic governance and innovations during the initial assessment conducted by the Regional Evaluation Team last month.
Capiz Governor Victor A. Tanco thanked all officials, department heads and Capizeños for supporting the province's bid for GPL Search for Outstanding LGU.
Meanwhile, the provinces of Capiz, Aklan and Negros Occidental will compete for the next level of assessment - the Anti-Red Tape Report Card Survey.
The survey will randomly pick 30 respondents from the LGUs frontline clients from August 8, 2012 to August 15, 2012. (The News Today)
