This year’s dyOW Bombo Radyo’s Battle of the Bands and Dance Showdown is no doubt an improved version of its past presentations. It will be more exciting and enjoyable for the viewing public, assures Joseph Silvias, the station’s manager.
The presentation, dubbed “Handog ng Bombo Radyo at Star FM sa mga Capizeño,” is slated April 15 at the Dinggoy Roxas Civic center in Roxas City as part of the celebration of CAPIZtahan 2012, which observes the 1111th foundation day of the civil government of Capiz and the 64th death anniversary of the late President Manuel Acuña -Roxas.
The show, which is now on its third year, will showcase the musical and dance talents of the Capizeño youth. To add value to its entertainment fare and further enliven it, the show organizers decided to feature 5 stand-up comedians. Silvias said this year’s Battle of the Bands and Dance Showdown will surely be a lot of fun and excitement, something that everyone must look forward to.
From the numerous bands and dance groups that auditioned, seven from each category would be chosen to compete in the final event, Silvias said.
