PHO, Caberoy bag CSC Pagasa Awards

THE CAPIZ Provincial Health Office (PHO) and Claire Delfin-Caberoy won the Civil Service Commission (CSC) National Pagasa Award (group and individual categories) in the 2012 CSC Search for Outstanding Public Officials and Employees.

PHO team leader and Provincial Health Officer Samuel Delfin lauded the CSC award.

Delfin said they presented to the CSC some of their good practices such as quality and affordable medicines, Health Facility Services Enhancement Program, Maternal and Child Care Program, New Born Screening, Garantisadong Pambata and Surveillance Disease Monitoring via the Capiz Epidemiological Surveillance and Response Unit.

The PHO team includes Dr. Samuel Delfin, Provincial Health Officer II; Dr. Evelyn Bolido, Medical Specialist IV; Mrs. Cecile Tuazon, Nurse V; Charmaine Quimpo, Nurse V; Ma. Divina Bigcas, Nutrition Officer III; Nenita Cesar, Nutrition Officer III; Leo Biclar, Medical Technologist II; Julie Anisco, Statistician II and Joeffrey Espiritu, Health Education & Promotion Officer 1.

Caberoy won the CSC Pagasa Award (Individual category) through her initiative of using an Electronic Inventory System that provides a comprehensive medicines inventory.

Both the PHO team and Caberoy will receive a gold-gilded medallion, a plaque and P100,000 cash in the awarding ceremony scheduled on September 19, 2012 at the Rizal Ceremonial Hall, Malacañan Palace which will be led by President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino.
