Akari has announced its first big player signing on Tuesday.
The Chargers have tapped Michelle Cobb to be its playmaker for its inaugural campaign in the Premier Volleyball League.
Cobb, 23, is a 5-foot-4 setter who is a product of De La Salle University.
Prior to UAAP Season 84, Cobb announced that she would not be playing for the Lady Spikers.
Cobb played four years in La Salle, winning the championship in UAAP Seasons 79 and 80.
She also played for F2 Logistics in the defunct Philippine Superliga.
Akari will join the PVL come the Reinforced Conference.
Oh yes, she’s back! Former La Salle dynamo, Michelle Cobb, is all set for a volleyball return via the Akari Power Chargers! Who’s excited to see that patented swagger on the PVL court this October? ⚡️💖 #AkariRising https://t.co/gcTyrJNl0J pic.twitter.com/qeHyV6pIzi
