Creamline brought down Choco Mucho in 4 sets to take a 1-0 lead in their Premier Volleyball League Open Conference best-of-3 semifinals on Friday.
Tots Carlos once again led the way for the Cool Smashers who had it 25-18, 17-25, 25-19, 25-11 against the Flying Titans.
Carlos had 26 points anchored on 21 attacks, 4 service aces, and a block. Alyssa Valdez had 13 attacks to finish with 17 points, to go with her 2 blocks, and 2 service aces. She also recorded 13 digs.
The victory didn't come easy for Creamline as the Kat Tolentino-led Choco Mucho rallied hard to take the second set.
But the Cools Smashers regained their bearings and took the succeeding sets.
Kat Tolentino carried Choco Mucho with 13 points from 11 attacks and two blocks, while Cherry Nunag got eight in the loss.
Chery Nunag and Aduke Ogunsanya recorded 8 and 7 points, respectively.
Creamline has not yet tasted defeat in the tournament so far.
The two squads will meet again on Sunday.
