Rain or Shine Elasto Painters and the NorthPort Batang Pier face this question as they return to play, squaring off in the 6:45 p.m. mainer of the PBA Governors' Cup Saturday double-header at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The Elasto Painters are at ninth place with a 2-3 win-loss card, having lost their last two outings while the Batang Pier are winless in four starts, the last they played minus an import.

Both hope to be victorious as they kick off their respective campaigns in the tournament restart, both with rejigged lineups.

The Batang Pier will be making a fresh start with new import Jamel Artis who is taking over from Cameron Forte. The question is whether the management will be able to sign up old stalwarts Robert Bolick, Greg Slaughter and Nico Elorde in time for the game.

With the possible departure of the three, the Batang Pier camp acquired 6-4 Cris Dumapig of Southwestern University, 5-8 Roi Sumang of UE and 5-8 Alvin Abundo of CEU.

Rain or Shine, meanwhile, released Adrian Wong then signed up Gilas player Mike Nieto to boost its backcourt and firepower.

The ROS management and coaching staff also hopes that import Henry Walker has been refreshed by the breather.

The E-Painters and Walker got off to a promising start with a 92-79 rout of the Blackwater Bossing then later a 90-88 decision over the Phoenix Super LPG Fuel Masters.

But they slid down in the team standings in dropping their last two games against the Magnolia Hotshots, 98-109, and the TNT Tropang Giga, 92-95.

Worse were the Batang Pier as they ran into bad breaks including acquiring a dud of an import in Forte.

As a naturalized player for the Jordan national team, Forte was impressive in leading the squad to victory twice over Gilas at the King Abdullah Cup in Amman last year. But he was a bust in his PBA debut.

Coach Pido Jarencio is now hoping Artis to turn things around for the team.

Artis, 29, arrived last Friday from Baltimore. He played four seasons with the University of Pittsburgh varsity then saw action for the Orlando Magic in the NBA in 2017.
