Former Sta. Lucia players Dell Palomata and Jovie Prado are taking their acts to PLDT Home Fibr in the upcoming Premier Volleyball League tournament.
Following Sta. Lucia’s leave of absence, Palomata and Prado have signed with the High Speed Hitters to join fellow recruits Kath Arado, Jessey De Leon and Mean Mendrez.
The team announced it on social media Monday.
“We are excited to welcome our very own secret weapon Dell Palomata and Queen Lady Chief Jovy Prado as the newest additions to the High Speed Hitters fam!” the post read.
“This duo is ready to provide uninterrupted levels of play in the upcoming PVL season! Don’t sleep on these gals! Welcome home, Jovy and Dell!”
The 6-foot-3 Palomata is a veteran middle blocker who also played for the Air Force and was a member of Team Choco Mucho that competed in the 2021 Asian Women’s Club Championship.
Prado, for her part, is an outside hitter who won three NCAA titles with the Arellano Lady Chiefs and as well as the Finals Most Valuable Player plum.
The High Speed Hitters are on a rebuilding process after retaining only four players and signing George Pascua to replace head coach Roger Gorayeb.
