Thirdy Ravena and the San-En Neophoenix snapped a 14-game losing streak after an 88-80 road victory over the Sea Horses Mikawa as part of another busy action Sunday, Dec. 26 in Japan’s B.League.
Ravena contributed 11 points, four rebounds, four assists and one steal during his 20-minute appearance in the contest held at Wing Arena as the Neophoenix won for the first time since defeating the Ibaraki Robots in late-October.
San-En improved to 4-19 but is still near the bottom of the standings in the West division.
His brother Kiefer and the Shiga Lakestars sent Kobe Paras and Niigata Albirex to a 20th consecutive defeat following a 90-77 home win at the Ukaru-chan Arena.
Kiefer made eight points and 10 assists to give Shiga a 9-14 record while Niigata fell to 2-21 with Paras failing to see action.
Ray Parks Jr. and the Nagoya Diamond Dolphins stretched their winning streak to seven with an 87-73 triumph over the Kyoto Hannaryz. Parks had 12 points, five rebounds, four assists and four steals to put Nagoya at 16-7.
Javi Gomez de Liano was scoreless in 10 minutes but the Ibaraki Robots repeated over the Shinshu Brave Warriors, 84-77, for a 5-18 card. Aquino didn’t play for the Brave Warriors, who went down to 9-14.
Dwight Ramos was held to four points, one rebound, two assists and one block in the Toyama Grouses’ 95-90 defeat to the Gunma Crane Thunders. Toyama fell to 8-15.
Kemark Carino played only five minutes for the Aomori Wat’s in a disappointing 93-36 setback to the Saga Ballooners in the second division.
