Reigning PBA Philippine Cup champ TNT Tropang Giga will be reinforced by former Texas-El Paso stalwart McKenzie Moore as they go for a season double championship.
Moore is in the list of PBA imports cleared to enter the country by concerned government agencies including the Department of Foreign Affairs and the Inter-Agency Task Force.
Listed as a 6-foot-6 guard, the Santa Rosa, California native has had a stint as a TNT import in the 2019 East Asia Super League in Macau.
Before teaming up with KJ McDaniels as TNT reinforcements in the Macau tilt, Moore was introduced to Filipino basketball fans in helping Mighty Sports to a perfect run in the 2019 Jones Cup in Taipei.
Moore was with Mikey Williams in that team that also included Roosevelt Adams, Aaron Black, Joseph Yeo, Gab Banal and former PBA imports Renaldo Balkman, Hamady NDiaye, Zach Graham and Eugene Phelps.
The 29-year-old is a seasoned international campaigner with playing experiences in New Zealand, Belgium, Greece, Russia, Turkey and Poland.
He's coming from the Israeli Premier League where he played for Ironi Nahariya.
But he'll have a job cut out for him in his coming PBA stint as he faces tested imports led by Justin Brownlee of Barangay Ginebra.
The other returning imports are Magnolia's Mike Harris (Alaska, 2017-18 Governors Cup), Phoenix' Paul Harris (TNT, 2011, 2012, 2014 Governors Cup; Barangay Ginebra, 2016 Governors Cup), Rain or Shine's Henry Walker (Alaska, 2014 Governors Cup; NLEX, 2016 Governors Cup; Blackwater, 2017 Governors Cup, 2018 Commissioner's Cup), San Miguel Beer's Brendan Brown (Phoenix, 2017 Governors Cup), NLEX' KJ McDaniels (TNT, 2019 Governors Cup) and Alaska's Olu Ashaolu (NLEX, 2017-18 Commissioner's Cup, 2019 Governors Cup).
The Tropang Giga reached the finals in the last Commissioner's Cup (2019) but bowed to the San Miguel Beermen in six games of a best-of-seven series.
