The F2 Logistics Cargo Movers have gotten a huge boost ahead of its return to hardcourt after almost two years.
The team on Tuesday announced that it has tapped the services of national team setter Iris Tolenada in time for the planned Champions League (CL) to be organized by the Philippine National Volleyball Federation (PNVF) in November.
The terms of the deal, though, were not disclosed.
Tolenada was part of Choco Mucho national team that finished sixth in the Asian Women's Club Volleyball Championship in Thailand earlier this month. She also played for Motolite before the squad took a leave of absence this year.
In F2, Tolenada will play alongside veteran setter Kim Fajardo as well as seasoned spikers Kim Kianna Dy, Majoy Baron, Aby Maraño, Ara Galang, and Kalei Mau.
The Champions League will mark Cargo Movers' return to action since the cancelled Philippine Superliga (PSL) Grand Prix in March 2020. They were supposed to see action in the 2021 PVL Open Conference but pulled out due to injuries and logistical issues.
