ROXAS City – Businessmen here held a motorcade around the city on July 31 after President Benigno Aquino III endorsed Local Government secretary Mar Roxas as the ruling party’s standard bearer in the 2016 elections.
The joint Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Capiz spearheaded the motorcade as a show of support for the Capiznon Roxas.
“The blessing of the President to Sec. Mar in his presidential bid for the 2016 elections is an honor and an opportunity for every Capiznon,” said Dale Bernas, president of the Filipino-Chinese Chamber of Commerce of Capiz.
He believes the business environment in the province will improve if Roxas becomes the president of the country.
“[T]here will be an influx of big businesses here, which will result in more jobs and more opportunities. This will, in turn, uplift the lives and well-being of every Capiznon,” Bernas added.
Businessman Lenny Apaitan also believes Roxas will bring more development projects and infrastructure projects for Capiz.
