PCSO turns over P6.9-M assistance

ROXAS City - The Provincial Government of Capiz received two checks as assistance from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) in turnover ceremony at the Roxas' Residence in Brgy. Baybay here, September 17.

The PCSO assistance to the province totaled to P6,912,286.27. Of the amount, the P131,914.27 is the province's share from the PCSO’s Lotto game for the January-to-June 2014 period and the P6,780,372 is the “Pamaskong Handog ng PCSO” to Capiz.

The P6.7-million assistance is for provinces which were heavily devastated by supertyhpoon Yolanda last year.

Gov. Victor A. Tanco with Vice Gov. Esteban Evan Contreras received the checks from PCSO general manager Atty. Jose Ferdinand Rojas II.

"We assure Capizeño that these checks will rightfully use in the rehabilitation effort of the Provincial Government of Capiz to the typhoon victims," Tanco said.

In a message, PCSO Roxas Branch Manager Jose Manuel Villagracia urged Capizeño to continue supporting the PCSO games. (CPPB/Rhiel de la Rosa)
