ROXAS City – The provincial government recently created a team that will handle the implementation of the national government’s Rural Development Program implementation in Capiz.
Through Executive Order No. 013-13, Tanco created the Philippine Rural Development – Provincial Program Management and Implementation Unit composed of PPMIU Head – Antonio Asis, Provincial Planning and Development coordinator; I-PLAN Head – Stephen Bediones, assistant Provincial Planning and Development coordinator; I-BUILD Head – Engr. Edgar Agana, OIC-Provincial Engineering Office; I-REAP Head – Sylvia de la Cruz, provincial agriculturist; Finance Unit Head – Atty. Ernie Arcenas, provincial accountant; Procurement Unit Head Eduardo F. Apaap II, General Services officer; Monitoring and Evaluation Unit Head – Wilar C. de los Santos, information systems analyst II; SES Unit Head – Bernabe Garnace, Community Environment and Natural Resources officer; InfoAce Unit Head – Edward Basilonia, Capiz Provincial Press Bureau chief.
Bediones said the PPMIU will handle and implement the task, programs and projects of Department of Agriculture.
“Also it aims to increase the agricultural and fishery production and incomes of farmers and fisherfolk in the province through the construction of additional farm-to-market roads, irrigations facilities and other farming-related structures,” Bediones added. (CPPB/Monette Bernas/The Daily Guardina)
