Congressional spouses laud Capiz

Roxas City - Members of the Congressional Spouses Foundation, Inc. (CSFI) commend the uniqueness of Capiz culture, history, growing tourism and sumptuous seafood during their 1-day CSFI Labkay-Aral tour here, November 23.

The visit was organized by Suzette Del Rosario, Visayas Coordinator of CSFI and wife of Capiz 1st District Representative Antonio A. Del Rosario which aims to showcase the province top destinations and best practices.

The CSFI delegation led by Vice Mayor Joy G. Belmonte of Quezon City together with 30 others arrived at Espacio Verde in Brgy. Dayao here.

They were welcomed by Del Rosario couple, Gov. Victor A. Tanco, Mayor Allan Celino, Vice Mayor Ronnie T. Dadivas, Judy Araneta-Roxas and other local officials.

The various places visited by the Congressional Spouses and their representative include:
  • Libas Fishing Fort – seeing bountiful of fresh marine products;
  • Barra fishpond – know how to feed fishes like red snapper, milkfish and others;
  • River Tour from Barra to Palina, Cagay
  • Panubli-on Museum – learning various historical events of Capiz;
  • People’s Park, Baybay
  • Sta. Monica Church in the Municipality of Panay
The tour ends with a dinner at the residence of Judy Araneta-Roxas.

The Congressional Spouses Foundation, Inc. is a non-government organization comprised by wives of Representatives that support the legislative initiative of their husband most specially advocating the rights of abused women. (cppb/Melinda Dellano/The Daily Guardian)
