ARTISTA SA STADIUM: Hottest young stars set to stir CAPIZtahan crowd

As a treat to the people of Capiz, ONE Capiz, organizer of this year’s CAPIZtahan celebration, will bring over two of the hottest stars in the entertainment industry today – JAKE CUENCA and MAJA SALAVADOR. They  will perform songs and dances during the Artista sa Stadium set on April 15 (8 p.m) at the Capiz Gymnasium. The show is expected to draw a big number of crowd, mostly Cuenca’s and Salvador’s fans.

The provincial government under Gov. Victor A. Tanco,  the Roxas City government under Mayor  Angel  Alan  Celino , the Office of Capiz first district Rep. Antonio del Rosario and the ONE Capiz Foundation, Inc. have teamed up to come up with an improved  and interesting CAPIZtahan this year.

Cuenca was discovered by a talent scout for Cosmo Modeling Agency at the age of nine. He appeared in a cameo role in the 1997 film Wansapanataym, followed by akbao Barabara akbo and Panday in 1998.

In 2003, he returned to show business under GMA Network and appeared in several TV series of GMA.  In 2006, he became part of the ABS-CBN family, making his mark as a serious actor trough the network’s soap opera Sana Maulit Muli.

Cuenca is a 2012 PMPC Star Award for Movies Best Supporting Actor for the movie In the Name of Love, winning the award along with Baron Geisler.

Salvador, on the other hand, belongs to the well-known Salvador clan, whose members were also into showbiz.

She began her showbiz career in 2003 through the television series, It might Be You.

Her biggest role was in the 2006 box office, Sukob, starring Kris Aquino and Claudine Barreto.

In 2012, she currently stars in Lumayo Ka Man Sa Akin aired over ABS-CBN. She also starred n the movie, My Cactus Heart, with real-life boyfriend Matteo Guidicelli. (Publicity and Promotions Committee, CAPIZtahan 2012)
